Welcome Friends
Thank you for visiting. My name is Mariah Barr, and I am a licensed massage therapist proudly serving clients in Crestwood and Louisville, Kentucky. I specialize in providing personalized, professional bodywork designed to promote relaxation, relieve tension, and support overall wellness.
With a passion for helping others feel their best, I strive to create a comfortable, welcoming environment where each session is intuitively tailored to your individual needs and goals. Whether you are seeking stress relief, recovery support, or simply time to unwind, my priority is delivering attentive care and a high-quality therapeutic experience.
I am comprehensively trained in anatomy, muscular biomechanics, Swedish massage, deep tissue, stretching, trigger point therapy, injury assessment, myofascial release, Ashiatsu, Thai massage, silicone cupping, hot stones and muscle scraping techniques. I believe that combining modalities to personalize care ultimately gives the best treatment results. I am a dedicated lifelong learner, continually pursuing new techniques and professional development to ensure my clients receive the most effective, up-to-date care.
I have had the opportunity to work alongside a local chiropractor and Racing Louisville, and now proudly operate my own practice.
Outside of my practice, I am a wife, yogi, rock climber, and a proud mother to a wonderful 10-year-old, a fluffy orange cat and a sweet Dalmatian.
My Services
Ashiatsu Bar Barefoot Massage
My speciality service! Ashiatsu is a barefoot massage technique in which the therapist delivers deep, broad, consistent pressure while utilizing their bare feet and body weight. Working with gravity instead of against it, Ashiatsu therapists are able to provide an effective therapeutic massage without causing discomfort to themselves or the client. Ashiatsu is not painful and is the best, most effective form of deep tissue work. Our feet have more nerve endings per square centimeter than any other part on the body, allowing the therapist to feel and connect with the client in a deeper way than pressure.
Therapeutic Massage
Therapeutic Massage is an integrative, results oriented approach that blends several proven techniques to address both chronic tension and acute discomfort. Therapeutic massage is extremely beneficial for helping to heal from injuries. It works by breaking down scar tissue, improving blood flow, reducing inflammation and enhancing flexibility. Repetitive strain issues are the most common, and can show up as shoulder pain, low back pain, hip pain, hamstring pulls, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, thoracic outlet syndrome, rotator cuff pain, frozen shoulder, patella tendonitis, whiplash, tennis elbow, golfer's elbow and ankle sprain.
Thai Massage
Thai massage is a traditional therapeutic technique that combines assisted stretching, gentle pressure, and rhythmic movements to improve flexibility, relieve tension, and restore balance in the body. Often described as “assisted yoga,” it promotes relaxation while enhancing mobility and overall well-being.
Basalt Hot Stones
Hot Stone Massage combines gentle strokes with the warmth of smooth stones to relax muscles, ease tension, and improve circulation.
Muscle Scraping
Muscle scraping, or Gua Sha, is a therapeutic technique that uses specialized tools to gently scrape the skin and underlying fascia. This helps release tension, improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and support faster recovery from soreness or tight muscles.
Silicone Cupping
Silicone cupping and gliding techniques use gentle suction to lift and release muscle tension, improve circulation, and promote lymphatic flow.
Add Ons: Basalt Hot Stones, Muscle Scraping, Theragun and Silicone Cupping can be added to appointments at no additional charge. Often I will add these services to appointments based on client needs.
